DING-DONG (No not Josh)........someone is at the front door MOM!! Oh! it's the "Little" boys from next door, Josh says". To my surprise; Nathaniel (4yrs) & Ryan (2yrs) are at the door with "FLOWERS".... for me!! ANY Mom can attest to the fact; that receiving any "gift" from a child is absolutely heartwarming. But what makes it more special is when you aren't expecting it and could really use a bit of cheer. "WOW GUYS!!" I said, and then Nathaniel replied," Grandma, me and Ryan did it for you, are you better yet??......... (sniff, sniff)......can't deny that I was very touched and had a smile on my face. Ya know, I have always believed that we can learn so much from Little children; they don't give-up easily, they have a lot of hope and they have this amazing energy that motivates them to enjoy ALL the sights and smells that are going on around them. That's why my "little' friends get so excited when they SPOT a lady-bug or squeal with glee when they find dandelions (to them their FLOWERS) or when MOMMY makes their favorite treat and they desperately want to share it with their neighbors! God designed their minds that way.........never pre-occupied with the affairs of the "adult" world. As a result, they can "Show" us how to really be happy with the SIMPLE things in life.
JESUS CHRIST himself said, "I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And then he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
Cindy, it really touches my heart to see the writing that you have done here. You express your thoughts and feelings in a way that is so personable. I believe God has really given you a gift, thanks for sharing it. I hope you are feeling better and that you get some answers soon. It is so good to know that the Lord is right there with us through it all, no matter what it is,
