Humble Hubby turns 42 years old........

DARRIN is 42 Today!! He told me last night not to get him anything as he already bought himself a book. But I will try to bake a cake! What a guy.....He and I were driving into Costco yesterday and we were talking about having 30 days worth of non-perishable food items stocked on our shelves. Apparently, this is a good plan in case of any "emergency" especially in light of the spread of the Swine-flu. Anyways, we were starting to get a little stupid in listing "things" that would be most important to get and so I said, " ya know what we really need is a Shot-gun" he then said, "ya, and Brandy! Having just realized what we said.........we looked at each other and burst out laughing and with a "Southern" drawl Darrin said....."the Hunters are ready for any emergency with their Shot-gun and Brandy"!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are REDNECKS can you tell? But don't hold it against us!!
All Kidding aside; we can't underestimate the importance of hand washing or hand sanitizer!! Especially considering Grandma & Grandpa who tend to pick-up flu-bugs!! We wanted them to wear the face masks that we so lovingly provided but they refused.....just joking!
Speaking of Ma & Pa; please continue to pray for their health. Grandpa, needs more blood work done and it doesn't surprise me as he has been very weak for awhile now.

He is a real trooper and doesn't like to be fused over!! He keeps a smile on his face and tries to go for a "mini" walk each day.
Well hopefully you are all keeping healthy!!! Until next time...Smiles...

  1. Hey Cindy! Thanks for your comment...and you're officially my first follower! Woo hoo! I'm having fun figuring out this blogging thing and getting to know bloggie friends and sisters in Christ. You seem to have a wonderful family and I think it's really neat that your parents are so much a part of your family -- and prayer warriors, too! I have a friend here in Lancaster who grew up in Alberta. Her name's Jill so I'll have to ask her the specifics of where she grew up. I'll be in touch! Take care!
